As we reach the midpoint of summer, we have a few reminders for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. First, registration is ongoing for all returning students and we ask all families to complete the process by July 31st. This helps our schools plan and prepare for a strong start. Please look for a personalized link in your email to complete this process and submit your proof of residency. If any families need assistance, our Enrollment Center is ready to help.
Next, as many have most likely seen in the news, there are a lot of new laws impacting education that will be in effect for the upcoming year. Our administration team is diligently working through each law to ensure compliance. As we update policies and implement new procedures, we will send out communications to all staff and families.
One event that I would like to mention so everyone can get it on your calendar is the Annual Athletic Hall of Fame Celebration. Mark your calendar for Monday, August 25 at 7:00 pm at Victory Church. Each year, this event makes us PC Proud as we recognize and celebrate our incredible athletes. More information will be forthcoming.
Finally, even though summer is still in full swing, it isn’t long before principals come back and teachers start to switch from summer mode to school mode. Before planning picks up, we hope that everyone can take a moment to pause and enjoy the slower rhythm of summer. The energy of a new year is right around the corner.
-Dr. Fred Rhodes
August 13 - First Day of School!
Our middle school students are putting their experimental skills to the test at the Putnam City Aviation STEM Camp at Wiley Post Airport. They’ll be designing, building, and testing models of rockets, drones, and parachutes!
Putnam City High’s new cafeteria and kitchen are coming along nicely! The fresh design means more room, faster lines, and a better place for students to relax, recharge, and enjoy lunch with friends. These renovations will be ready for incoming Pirates this August.
School’s out, but the fun doesn't stop in Putnam City! PC West students had the chance to pick up their yearbooks, grab signatures from their besties, and swap summer updates. While we LOVE summertime, it was great seeing so many familiar faces!
Putnam City West’s classrooms are getting a fresh look! Rooms have been emptied to make way for all-new furniture, and we’re excited for what’s ahead. Stay tuned for PCW 2.0!
We’re almost there! The Putnam City Centennial Center is nearing completion! We can’t wait to welcome our community into this new space for learning, connection, and celebration.
Putnam City West JROTC and the Putnam City Schools Police Department represented the District with pride in the Bethany Boom Parade - way to go!
For his 4th birthday, all he wanted was to see the big school buses. Putnam City Transportation was proud to make it happen.
