These 6th-grade Capps students are solving more than just math problems; they are making a difference in the community! After collecting food for the Capps Food Pantry in November, they decided they wanted to go even bigger for December. A group of about 100 students collected food and donated it all to City Center. Their math teacher, Mr. Cobb, said his goal is to instill in his students to "see a need...meet a need."
Meet Putnam City's newest celebrity, Lovely Zuniga Sosa, a 4th grader at Overholser Elementary! A couple of months ago, author Scott Reintgen visited and talked with students about his popular books and gave students an opportunity to enter a nationwide contest to be written into his next book as an actual character!
