STEVE BURGER emphasized the significance of being named academic state champions. He echoed Jay Sherrill on the connection between extracurricular participation and classroom achievement. He acknowledged spring sports being underway and how busy of a time this year is for everyone.
JAY SHERRILL congratulated all of our teams and athletes who recently competed in state events. He commented on the linkage between athletic participation and classroom advancement. He recently attended the Science Olympiad and spoke to how great of an event it was, especially acknowledging our hardworking teachers. Lastly, he welcomed Collette to the Board.
JUDY MULLEN HOPPER attended the District Diversity Night and spoke about how great of an evening it was for everyone. At Diversity Night, she connected with Community Health and is thrilled to have their involvement in the District. She congratulated Special Services on receiving a good score on state monitoring. Lastly, she recently attended the OSSBA Day at the Capital, met with legislators, and provided an update on recent bills going through the legislative process. She also encouraged legislative action from everyone in attendance to advocate for education.
CHARITY AVERY welcomed Collette to the Board. She recognized the PCN Girls Swim Team on their Academic State Championship standing and how much hard work that reflects. She congratulated all of the Special Olympics Athletes on the games held at PCH this past week. She remarked, that despite the weather, everyone, including herself, had a fantastic time. She was happy to see the WOMS crossing guard back at work recently. She showed appreciation for all of the teachers and staff.
COLLETTE SHEPARD-MCINTIRE had no comments.

It is with great pleasure to officially welcome Collette Shepard-McIntire to our Putnam City Board of Education. Collette brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for public education, shaped by her years in the classroom and her work supporting schools across Oklahoma.
A dedicated educator, Collette has taught in multiple districts, including Putnam City, before transitioning into a role that provides educational resources and programs to schools statewide. Her professional journey has allowed her to build strong relationships with school leaders, including many here in our District. As a parent of three, she also brings a valuable perspective that will further strengthen our shared commitment to student success.
Beyond her work in education, Collette serves on the Board of the Oklahoma Partnership for School Readiness and is a member of the Oklahoma Tribal Childcare Association. Her dedication to ensuring quality and equitable learning opportunities for both students and teachers aligns perfectly with the mission of our District.
We are thrilled to have Collette on the Board and look forward to the insight, leadership, and passion she brings as we work together to shape a bold future for Putnam City Schools.

Diversity Night brought Putnam City together with food, music, and culture from around the world We celebrated what makes us different - and what brings us together. Thanks to everyone who made this event unforgettable!
Story time at Will Rogers Elementary with local children's author, Tammi Sauer! She shared some of her bestselling books with our students, and they loved it!
With graduation approaching, seniors at Putnam City High participated in Mock Enrollment, where they balanced scholarships, student loans, and real tuition costs. The Class of 2025 got a powerful look at the decisions waiting for them.
Putnam City’s Elementary Science Olympiad brought students from across the District together for a day of competition! They launched rockets, broke codes, and made science come to life in the coolest ways.
From their first days of kindergarten to preparing for college our students are growing up, and we couldn't be prouder! Over 300 Putnam City juniors took a big step toward their futures at the PC College Fair, exploring majors, scholarships, and campus life with colleges represented.
Checkmate and celebrate! Congratulations to this year's winners of the Putnam City Chess Tournament and to all who competed District-wide.
The PCH Dance Show was an event to remember! Our talented students lit up the stage with energy, creativity, and passion. Amazing job to all the performers!
The Addams Family Musical at PCN was a huge success! The cast and crew brought the spooky, kooky world of the Addams family to life with incredible talent, humor, and heart. From the creative set design to the unforgettable performances, it was a show to remember.
Cold winds and grey skies couldn’t dampen the spirit of the Special Olympics Oklahoma Capitol Area Track & Field Event! Our athletes showed up ready to compete and cheer each other on, proving that no amount of rain can stop a Putnam City Olympian!
Legislators took a break from bills and explored Newton's Laws with some PC students! PEAK Pirates from Kirkland Elementary showed off their new physics skills at the State Capitol, where they challenged state senators to a game of foosball (on tables they built themselves)!
PCHS students visited TLS Group to learn about careers in electrical contracting! They explored equipment, heard from industry pros, and even watched a real streetlight removal.
